Hope for those Hungry

Welcome to a new non-federal, hyper-local LFPA,

We know that healthy food access and elevated nutritional consumption can disrupt the interconnected cycle of poverty, unemployment, and poor mental health by improving our physical and mental well-being, which in turn enhances economic and social stability. This creates an upward spiral where better health leads to increased opportunities and a greater ability to manage challenges.

Given the recent volatility and cancellation of many federally-funded programs like the Local Food Purchase Assistance (LFPA) and Local Food for Schools (LFS) programs, we have recently been inspired to take on a leap of faith and create a new hyper-local, Local Faith-Driven Food Purchasing Assistance (LF2PA) approach where churches, individuals, communities and organizations can support healthy food access sustainability and resiliently directly in our local communities through philanthropic giving.

Active LF2PA applications in Allendale County, SC are presently working in partnership with the Allendale County Hospital and the Outpatient Pharmacy to fund produce prescriptions through the hospital's on-campus healthy farmers market and Abundance FoodRx market sample bags available at the pharmacy.

With just $5.00, you can make a difference! Please consider giving today. To learn more, email us here at The Good Fruit Foundation, a designated 501(c)(3) local public charity, or continue reading throughout this site to learn more.

You can fund a vibrant tomorrow for local farms feeding local families and local communities,
